Sometimes there are no roads to where you have to go. No maps to where you need to be. The only bond that you can count on, is the one between you and your machine.
On such treacherous paths, you often hear about the legends of Jimny, whispered by the wind. Tales that have been passed down from generation to generation, since 1970. In January 2021, Madrid experienced the worst snowstorm in its history. The entire city was buried under a metre-thick sheet of snow. Cars, ambulances, and even tow trucks found it impossible to step out during the storm. Only a resilient off-roader like Jimny could tear through the snow and provide help.
It not only pulled out stalled vehicles and aided rescue operations, but also drove through three feet of snow and a fierce blizzard, to bring home newborn baby Maria. By the time Storm Filomena ended, Jimny had already become part of Madrid’s local folklore.
